Great video – “Blogs in Plain English”

This was entertaining and clever to watch. A simple, fast explanation of the origin and use of blogs. They are basically saying every bit of information is “news” to someone and blogs are the new way to share it all with everyone or a select few.

  1. Yes, some of these short videos on library tech. can be extremely useful. And it’s amazing what you can find on youtube, as well.

  2. I love the “Plain English” series – they’re so concise and there’s something about the paper cutouts on a white board that’s really appealing. In my library, we’ve been talking about creating online tutorials for years now, but that project keeps getting put on the back burner. Lately, we’ve been using the tutorials created by database vendors more. And we plan to explore what’s on YouTube too. So many tools and resources, so little time to sift through them!
